Kathak Nritya competition held at Sahodaya

Mon, October 31, 2022: Dance is the hidden language of the soul.It gives wings to our expressions and thoughts. The joy which comes with dancing helps us get over our sorrow and adversity .We at CIS are extremely happy and proud to share that Sukhmani Trehan student of grade XI A has bagged first position in Kathak Nritya competition held at Sahodaya .

‘Best Out Of Waste’ competition

Mon, October 31, 2022: Recycling the valuable waste material can result in development of remarkable and utilitarian products .CIS Kindergarten conducted competition ‘Best Out Of Waste’ to make something innovative and attractive out of the material that is of no use otherwise. Students participated with lot of enthusiasm and made beautiful , useful artefacts which added to their innovative capabilities

Special Assembly held on 31st October, 2022

Mon, October 31, 2022:  The ultimate aim of education is the overall development of personality which cannot be achieved without exposing students to various life skills. It is very important to facilitate conducive environment to create a healthy place for learners to grow as responsible and empowered citizens. Keeping this in mind a Special Assembly was held where the students were rewarded for their commendable efforts in different sectors of education. CIS feels immense pleasure of setting another milestone by holding the first Youth Parliament in the city. The students were awarded for their innovative ideas and efforts by the CBSE board. The school was also proud to share that a team of four students from our school got selected in Ideathon (Spirit of Innovation and dreaming of a futuristic ideas) from total 2.5 lakh entries. Our students did not leave any stone untouched. They were also awarded with various awards and prizes in the field of Sports and Dance. All the students were awarded with certificates of appreciation and medals by our Chief Academic Officer Ms. Deepa Dogra .

Diwali Fund Raiser

Fri, October 21, 2022:  Keeping the spirit of festivity alive and sensitizing the students to the needs of the society CIS had organised a Diwali Fund Raiser to help the ones those who are in need. The students of Grade VI to VIII and XI-XII became a witness of this great charitable giving. The talented artist of our Grade VI to VIII and XI-XII showed their creativity by decorating diyas with vibrant colours, creating beautiful torans,designing the envelopes beautifully and showed their culinary skills by making sumptuous and delicious sweets on the occasion of Diwali. The air was filled with the feeling of giving and sharing.

Halloween Day

Tue, October 18, 2022:  The only time when people can become what they want to be without getting fired. There is magic in the night when pumpkins glow by moonlight. Keeping the festive mood in mind, #CIS Grade 1,2 and 3 students celebrated 'Halloween Day'. Children entertained everyone parading as super heroes, fairies, witches and goblins walking around in spooky costumes and had spooky food to mark the welcoming of good spirits and driving away the bad ones.

Success Blueprint for Young Minds

Tue, October 18, 2022: Taking it on board the Entrepreneurship Committee of CIS under the guidance organised “Success Blueprint for Young Minds”, an event to ignite the interest of students of grade 9th and 10th in entrepreneurship. Resource person ‘Mrs Shaina Kochhar’ an Internationally certified life coach ,an author and a media person was invited . Mrs Kochhar runs a Spiritual and Mindfulness online Academy with ,more than 7000 clients and 200 students as members, and was recently featured at Josh Talks. The students were enlightened about key principles while starting a business from scratch, confidence building and ways to make it a success. Mrs Kochhar motivated the students about success and edified them about important ingredients required to be an accomplished entrepreneur.

Poster Presentation Competition, in National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar

Tue, October 18, 2022: Our students have made their mark in Poster Presentation Competition, in National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar.This day is celebrated as the #NationalInnovativeDay on account of birthday of former President APJ Abdul Kalam. The students of Grades VIII- XII participated in this competition. Every Champion was once a contender who refused to give up” The aforesaid stands true for our students as our student Kushagr Mathur , VIII D ,bagged third position and Manvi Aggarwal won Consolation Prize.

Project Veer Gatha

Sat, October 15, 2022:  CIS has always been expeditious and diligent in encouraging learners to be a part of such programmes under the CBSE which offer them a wide spectrum of exposure. Under Project Veer Gatha, A virtual Interaction with Gallantry Award Winners was being conducted on 14th October 2022, wherein our Students Jesnoor Kaur(GradeXII) and Ruhani Khanna( GradeXI) got the opportunity to be a part of this session. The session was conducted by Col. Rajneesh and the students from different schools got this momentous opportunity to interact with the Awardees. It was indeed a #gratifying# moment to witness the brave heroes and know their success journey

Online exchange program conducted with Gerrans School,Cornwall,UK

Sat, October 15, 2022:  CIS believes in providing its students with abundant such opportunities where they move out of their comfort zone, their minds are exposed to all new learning perspectives and hence giving them a wide idea of what the world holds for them.To meet this objective, an online exchange program was conducted with #GerransSchool, Cornwall, UK where the students of kindergarten and primary grades from both the countries discussed about their country, state and city. Beginning with welcome song, moving on with dialogue exchange about geographical structure ,culture and traditions of their respective countries, sharing the traditional props, dancing on Bhangra beats and closing at National Anthem.

Mental Health Week

Sat, October 8, 2022: Good mental health is essential for overall well-being, and it can contribute to a student’s ability to find success in the world. It can help students to develop and maintain strong relationships with others, as well as an overall sense of contentment. Good mental health also allows them to deal with life’s challenges and stress in our daily lives.Keeping this in view, Grade 3 at #CambridgeInnovativeSchool celebrated #MentalHealthWeek, where they all got the opportunity to express it through various activities which helped them to pour out their hearts. They drove their worries in the #WorryLorry. They bragged about their gratefulness in displaying the positivity towards life through SELF POSITIVE TALK.

Trip to Jodhpur-Jaisalmer

Tue, October 4, 2022: CIS organised a trip for the students to Jodhpur-Jaisalmer for Grades VI-IX from 25th September- 30th September 2022. It was a fun filled trip away from school and home where students had the opportunity to learn in a totally different environment.The trip to Jodhpur- Jaisalmer was a great opportunity for the students to explore various archaeological sites and their history, forts, temples, museums, palaces and cultural highlights. The children visited the Sagar Lake surrounded by small temples and shrines. They had a memorable experience in Jaisalmer Fort and Mehrangarh Fort that has a unique importance as a repository of the artistic and cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

Movie Excursion for Grades I to V

Fri, September 30, 2022: Kids are always fascinated by superheroes and animals and movie excursions act as a catalyst to rejuvenate everyone by getting vibrancy in life. Keeping this in mind, CIS, Jalandhar arranged a movie excursion for Grades I to V. The animated movie was DC Super pets. The teachers and children enjoyed the animated movie and relished popcorns and cold drinks thereby bringing back memories of fun and enjoyment.

Two day excursion for the students of Kindergarten

Fri, September 30, 2022:  Cambridge Innovative School arranged two days excursion for the students of Kindergarten. First day they visited Rangla Punjab, where they enjoyed puppet show, magic show and many more.They relished different mouth watering cuisines of Punjab. It was a day full of fun and enjoyment.

SHAPE UP WITH YOGA

Thu, September 29, 2022: Yoga🧘 is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. To spread awareness among students regarding the benefits of Yoga, CIS organized a session on SHAPE UP WITH YOGA for Grade VII. The occasion delivers a message that alignment of energy body, physical body and mind is the key to a healthy being and it is essential to do it daily to keep our mind stress free.

P.S.E.B School District Tournament held at La Blossom School Jalandhar

Sat, September 24, 2022:  The joy of students had no bound when they participated and won medals in various events.Arman (Grade VIII) won Gold Medal in 100m Race, Silver Medal in Lap Road and Bronze Medal in 1000m Road in III Ranking Roller Skating National Championship held at Jodhpur. She got Gold Medal in 1 Lap Road and Gold Medal in 500+ D Rink and selected for State Level Tournament in P.S.E.B School District Tournament. The young sports person Arman was also felicitated with Gold Medal in 100m Race, Silver Medal in 500m Race and selected for State Level Tournament in Open District Tornament held at Police DAV School Jalandhar.Sanish Chadha (Grade VI) bagged third position in 1000m Race in Roller Skating District Level Khed Mela held at Police DAV School Jalandhar, third position in 1000m Race in P.S.E.B School District Tournament held at La Blossom School Jalandhar, third position in 1000m Race in Tricity Skating Championship 2022 held at Mohali and third Position in XXII District Roller Skating Championship 2022 held at Police DAV School Jalandhar.

We are glad to share with you all that our persistent efforts in the education sector have been recognized and rewarded, Cambridge Innovative School is bestowed upon with the award ‘Innovative School- The Changemaker’ on the basis of Excellence Performance, Splendid Achievement and Outstanding Contribution in implementation of National Education Policy -2020 at 23rd National Achievement Summit held in New Delhi.

Spell bee competition

Sat, September 17, 2022:  A spell bee competition was organized by Collins at all India level where many schools had participated all across India. This spell bee was aimed creating awareness of the possibilities of using varied words in oral and written expression and to add words to the active vocabulary of students. The objective of the competition was to enhance the spelling and literary skills of children by encouraging them to explore the English language, expand their vocabulary and improve their communication and comprehension skills.The competition had three rounds with different level of difficulties at every stage and CIS feels proud to share that Inayat Anand of Grade VI B had cleared all the rounds and has bagged the position of Second Runner Up in the final round of the competition that was held in Mumbai.

Sahodaya Inter School Swimming competition

Thu, September 15, 2022: Swimming – a terrible body workout that one can do at any age. It helps to build endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness.The students of Cambridge Innovative School , Jalandhar participated in the Sahodaya Inter School Swimming competition held at Cambridge International School, Phagwara.Our girls bagged several medals.

Teacher's Day Celebration

Mon, September 5, 2022:  While honoring their teachers, the students of CIS celebrated Teachers’ Day.They also expressed their gratitude through messages from alumni which refreshed all the good memories.In addition to being a relaxing experience for the teachers, it was also an emotional one as the students went on to acknowledge the commitment and dedication of their teachers to the cause of education.This day was also observed as a commitment to nature to redeem its glory and significance. The students of Grade X B volunteered to contribute to the society by taking a step to restore and conserve environment by planting saplings.

Grandparents Day Celebration

Sat, September 3, 2022: To treasure the connection and spend some quality and family time together, Grades 1-V of CIS celebrated the Grandparents Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The motive behind this day’s celebration was to honour the grandparents for all the sacrifices they made for their families. The day began with a welcome dance and an instrumental performance.The exemplary performance of the students tied the show and left grandparents spellbound and thoroughly mesmerized.They narrated stories, sang songs and relived childhood with their grandchildren.

Explorica

Fri, September 2, 2022:  Students of CIS actively participated in Explorica- Oakridge International School, Mohali.The students prepared zealously to excel in respective events. Their vivacity and brilliance, was fully displayed in their presentations. It was a proud moment for the school.Sanaa Malhotra of Grade VIII - B bagged third prize in Singing Competition. In Instrumental, Ravnoor of VIII B and Kanupriya - X A won first runners up prize.In Actomania, Khushi Bedi of IX D won the first runners up prize.Dyza Jain of VA won second runners up prize in Dance and Venya VII B won first runners up in Dance. Japnam of VII A won Second Runners up in Dance.In Painting Competition, Baltej of III B and Japnaam of VI C bagged third position. Aayushman of VI B bagged second position. Tanisha Bhandari of IX C bagged third position

Open District Gymnastic Tournament

Thu, September 1, 2022: To make gymnastic a part of one’s physical development an Open District Gymnastic Tournament was held at Sport College, Jalandhar on 25th August, 2022. Students of Cambridge Innovative School took active participation in this gymnastic tournament in which they bagged various prizes. The Under 8, Under 10 and Under 12 girls gymnastic team bagged IIIrd Position. Members of Under 14 team clinched the IInd position followed by under 17 team that got the Ist position. The boys were also not behind in getting laurels for the school.A PSEB District Level Tournament was held at MGN School where our girls bagged different positions.

National Sports Day

Mon, August 29, 2022: To commemorate the significance and contribution of sports towards the country and also to honour the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand Singh 29th August is celebrated as the National Sports Day every year. To rejoice the spirit of the occasion Cambridge Innovative School celebrated the entire week as the National Sports week that culminated today with complete zeal and enthusiasm.The entire school could feel the enthusiastic participation, spirit of sportsmanship and hard work that makes a player successful in their life.

'Idea to Innovate' Science Fair

Sat, August 27, 2022: Envisioning the progressive and scientific learning CIS organised a prolific spectacle of students’ creative competence: “#IdeatetoInnovate”. The event proved to be a perfect platform for the budding minds of Grade VII & VIII where they collectively galvanized ideas to bring forth innovation into implementation thus illustrating critical thinking skills.Science is already embedded with creativity and has a vital role to play in progressive development. Hence this #ScienceFair enabled our learners in learning advanced facts impeccably. It served as a place for students to think out of the box and come up with something novel.

Youth Parliament

Fri, August 26, 2022: CIS sets another milestone of being the pioneer in hosting the First ever Youth Parliament in the city. The school stage proved to be a perfect symposium for the parliamentary proceedings where the ignited minds exchanged their ideas during the Question Hour with various agendas like- Extensive Privatisation in Public Sector Undertakings, Cryptocurrency, Defence strength, Women Rights, NEP, CUET, SDG and many more. The Ministries defended with facts, questioning the concerns and new thoughts.The forum reverberated with purposeful discussions, analysis and research.

EELAHEE camp

Mon, August 15, 2022:  On account of 75th Year of Independence the students of CIS made a small gesture towards the freedom of women from poor health conditions. In an effort to promote awareness about the importance of hygiene during mensuration, A team of students EELAHEE led by alumni Nanaki Singh had organised a camp in a government dispensary in Garha, where not only young girls , women, expected mothers were educated about the need and importance of hygiene but also were distributed free sanitary pads underlining the 3rd and 6th SDG goals ”GoodHealth & WellBeing” and “Clean Water & Sanitation”.

Independence Day Celebration

Mon, August 15, 2022: 15th August is celebrated with great zeal and gusto across the country. This day also reminds us about our valiant freedom fighters who fought selflessly and even sacrificed their lives for our country to attain freedom from the colonial rule. Continuing the spirit of festivity and celebration. CIS celebrated this auspicious day by hoisting our National Flag with pride and honour. The feeling of unity and oneness continued with active participation by the students who performed a synchronised march past on the vigorous beats of the school band. The teachers and students also paid a melodious tribute to our mother earth by humming to the lyrics of a beautiful song- Saare jahan se acha.The day ended with the vibrancy of tricolour being witnessed in the entire atmosphere giving us the hope that we continue to work with the same zeal and spirit for our country.

Health and Safety week

Wed, August 3, 2022: CIS has organized a health and safety week from 1st- 5th August, 2022 with great vigour and energy. For any society or nation to progress it’s important that their citizens are physically and mentally fit. The #Day3 of this week aimed to encourage kids to inculcate in physical activity and sports in their everyday lives. Students of Grade VI participated enthusiastically in it by rejoicing in the school playground and enjoying aerobics under the guidance of the sports department. The entire atmosphere was full of energy executed by the students and the teachers.

Inter House Yoga Competition

Sat, August 27, 2022:  CIS organized an Inter House Yoga Competition for students of Grade IV and V.The trials began weeks ago and the house-wise final round was conducted today. Along with flexibility and stability, team coordination was also assessed. The participants showcased yoga asanas sending a message of mental, physical health and well-being. Exquisite yoga postures were the hallmark of all the houses. Students moved from one yoga pose to another, effortlessly and seamlessly.

15th Open Roller Skating Championship 2022- 23

Sat, May 28, 2022: The emphasis is on speed and agility is a defining characteristic of any sport.Skating is an excellent sport not only for physical conditioning but also increases one's balance and agility. Bhavleen Kaur of Cambridge Innovative School ( Grade 3- D) participated in 15th Open Roller Skating Championship 2022- 23 that was held on Sunday, 15 May 2022 at skating Rink, Golbagh, Amritsar and won Gold Medal in 10 lap race. She showcased an energetic and and enthusiastic performance which was applauded by the audience . We wish her luck in future endeavours too..

Investiture Ceremony

Sat, May 28, 2022: To ingrain the leadership qualities amongst the students and to give them a feeling of being an integral part of the school administration ,Cambridge Innovative School held the momentous occasion of the year- The Investiture Ceremony🎖 for the academic session 2022-23 on 28th May,2022. The ceremony was symbolic of different important aspects of student’s life- growth, maturity, belief, faith, duty and sincerity to name a few. These solemn aspects gain heightened gravity when it is young blood that is being invested with the power to change, the power to amend, the power to guide and most importantly the power to learn.The ceremony began with the welcome speech the school principal Ms. Kiranjoth Dhillon also addressed the gathering and congratulated the newly appointed council members for their preparedness to take up responsibilities entrusted to them. She #motivated the young minds with her valuable advice and inspirational words.

Scavenger Hunt Activity

Wed, December 15, 2021: Children that play outside develop better problem solving skills and have a stronger ability to work within a group. Cambridge Innovative School conducted a Scavenger Hunt Activity for Grades I and II on 15th December 2021. Students took a round outside of their class, went down to the ground and searched for miscellaneous objects. Scavenger hunts allow kids to practice problem-solving in a tangible way. Also, It helps to reinforce and act-out methods they have been taught by teachers in a physical way, leading to increased retention of the lessons.Overall, kids enjoyed participating in a group scavenger hunt as it helped them to value teamwork, in addition to this, it promoted social interaction.

Nukkad Natak

Tue, December 21, 2021: The talented student-actors from Grade 2 of Cambridge Innovative School picked an effective platform such as street play(Nukkad Natak)to display their creativity and convey an important social message- Save OurAnimals.This is a part of their integrated learning under the ongoing theme ‘Sharing the Planet’. Students performed a Hindi street play to highlight the importance of conservation, habitat loss and effects of deforestation on wildlife among the people and how urbanisation in the city has forced these animals to search for a new home.The students got actively involved in it and showed great enthusiasm and creativity to convey their message to the audience.They performed scenes that depicted the general attitude of people towards nature and how it causes damage to the environment. The actors then addressed the audience and persuaded them to be responsible citizens and protect the environment.

Constitution Day Celebration

Fri, November 26, 2021: To mark the relevance and significance of this day Cambridge Innovative School had organized a special assembly to make the students aware about our constitution and its importance. The assembly commenced with a beautiful poem that was recited by the little students of Grade IV. This was further followed by a Role Play by the students of Grade XI focusing on the importance of our preamble and the constitution preceded by a quiz. An important part of the assembly was the reading of the Preamble and reaffirming our commitment to uphold it. At the end the day served as a reminder to live by and promote these timeless values in our communities and reiterate the values and principles enshrined in the constitution.

Beautiful Celebration of this year's Children's Day

Sun, November 14, 2021: Every child, no matter who they are or where they come from, deserves access to the best of everything.Cambridge Innovative School witnessed a very beautiful celebration of this year's Children's Day.It was celebrated in a very distinctive manner.Students of Grade VI along with Ms Preeti Sharma,Vice Principal and Ms. Richa Sharma, Headmistress went to Mother Mary School for Special Needs students and donated stationery,books and eatables to the children.A sheer happiness and contentment was observed on their faces.

Mega event by SOB and NCLP

Fri, November 12, 2021:  A mega event was organized by SOB(Special Olympics Bharat) and NCLP(National Child Labour Project) in Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya with an aim of bringing smile on the face of the little ones. Nanaki Singh was honored to be a part of this event and represent herself as the Youth Leader of the SOB. She enthusiastically took part in this event and made the kids familiarize with skills that are required in the field of sports. She also motivated the youth by sharing the idea with them that nothing is impossible if we have the determination and the will to overpower your weakness.

Career Counselling Session

Tue, November 9, 2021: Cambridge Innovative School organized a session on Career Counselling and Guidance on 8th November 21 , which was conducted by Mr. Vinayak Sudhakar, Associate Director of Partnerships CIALFO and Ms. Florisa Pereira, Customer Experience Officer CIALFO for the parents and students of Grades X-XII .CISFG always supports its students in best of the ways so that the students excel in their life, partnership with CIALFO is one such effort to prepare its students for life after school along with their education in school because career counselling is vital for school students especially for the ones of higher grades, who are on the verge of choosing a new stream or career paths. It helps them choose the stream based on their interest and capability. In today’s session , the resource persons apprised the students and the parents about CIALFO, which is a digital platform for counseling and application purpose.

Padma Bhushan Award to our Chief Patron Sri M

Mon, November 8, 2021:  It is a proud moment✨ for the LWES Cambridge family to share the news that Chief Patron of our school Shri M has been conferred with the prestigious Indian Civilian award Padma Bhushan by the President Kovind for the distinguished service of high order in the field of Spirituality. He is the founder President of The Satsang Foundation, Bengaluru, a charitable organization, dedicated to spread awareness about Yoga, Upanishads and Gita.Sir’s works have been exceptionally multifaceted and multidimensional. He is the most venerated spiritual guru in the world today, but he must also be equally credited for turning spirituality into a vehicle for changing the world.

Orientation Programme

Sat, October 30, 2021: As Cambridge Innovative School believes that education is the key which unlocks multiple doors of vast opportunities that leads to the pathway of success, so an‘ORIENTATION PROGRAMME’ was conducted for Grade X students and their parents as ‘partners in progress’ to familiarize them with the significance of the diverse subjects-Academic and Vocational which are introduced in our school in Grade XI.The session was undertaken by the PGT teachers. The aim is to represent education without silos between different areas of learning and emphasize on competencies and make the learners aware that there will be no hard separation between arts, humanities and sciences, vocational and academics.

Let’s Play Number Ninjas Activity

Sat, October 30, 2021: To encourage young learners to get involved and to dispel Math phobia, to create a love for the subject and perceive the connection of mathematical concepts with real life situations CISFG conducted various fun skill oriented games for Grade V on 29th October 2021. Students got an opportunity to showcase their creative side through Let’s Play Number Ninjas activity engaging them in meaningful revision to consolidate the understanding of mathematical concepts.Students participated in various activities and displayed spirited enthusiasm, absorbing information and enjoying the stimulating exercise of the mind.

Gift a smile Project

Fri, October 29, 2021: Like they say only by giving are you able to receive more than you already have. Based on the philosophy students of Cambridge Innovative School of class XI under the guidance of their mentor Rohini Budhiraja who have taken up entrepreneurship as a main subject thought of playing the role of a social entrepreneur and took up a project “Gift a smile “to the underprivileged children residing in the slum areas in the vicinity of the school. Our young entrepreneur and aspiring baker Jesnoor baked flavorsome 100 cupcakes overnight.We wanted to imbibe the key concepts of the New Education Policy that lays emphasis on experiential learning and practical exposure on real time basis. It was an overwhelming experience to see the young innocent children smile with the twinkle in their eyes all waiting for the special gift of that lovely cupcakes from their “DIDI’s”.

Fancy Dress Competition

Fri, October 29, 2021: To enhance the creativity, imagination and build confidence among the tiny tots Cambridge Innovative School had organized a Fancy Dress competition and Show and Tell competition for the students of Grades I and II on 27th October, 2021.The theme of the competition was ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’. The students participated in huge numbers and showcased their versatility with the help of the character chosen. They were all smartly dressed up and took part with much enthusiasm. The students of Grade I presented themselves by sharing information about the characters depicted by them in an impressive manner.

District Level Badminton Tournament

Thu, October 28, 2021: There is no specific definition of success; success is a state of achieving that particular thing, which you were trying to get. The meaning of success is different for every one as it is an individual case. It propagates in the mind of an individual. This thought about success and achievement was proved right by Jaisha Jain who took part in the District Level Badminton Tournament🏸 (doubles)held at Hansraj Stadium held on 29th August, 2021 achieving Silver Medal. The school authority is extremely happy and proud of her success and wishes her all the luck for the future endeavours and hopes that she continues to work with the same zeal and spirit and achieves much higher level of success in the coming times.

Tue, October 26, 2021: Cambridge Innovative School took this great opportunity to organize a webinar on the ongoing topic of ‘Liberal Education in India’ on 25th October, 2021.The school got the opportunity to welcome the speaker for the event Mr. Harpreet Singh, the Assistant Director, Outreach from The Ashoka University. This online session was intended to help the parents and the students understand what is liberal education, its Indian context and how do we as a teacher and a student apply in the real world. The webinar also focused on the New Education Policy (2020) along with the holistic development of the learner. The successful implementation of NEP is definitely going to ensure that India evolves as the global national leader.

Tue, October 26, 2021:  As physical beauty of the person involves in making the humanity of him, Cambridge fraternity believes in providing a platform to showcase the hidden talent of our budding minds in the field of sports. Promoting the significance of sports and sportsmanship our children participated in Tennis Sahodya Tournament held at MGN Schoolfrom 21st October to 23rd October, 2021.The girls of the category Under 14 bagged Ist Position and the Under 19 group achieved IIIrd Position in the competition. It was the collective efforts of all the team members.

Welcome Back Students

Thu, August 5, 2021: Cambridge Innovative School welcome the students back in school with all the precautions to be taken. Eyes of all the students sparkled with merriment and filled the corridors with jubilance and happiness.Riveting Activities like Spin the Wheel, Pictography were conducted the grades V - VIII and were thoroughly enjoyed by them. Although, virtual education has become part of our life now but there’s no denying the value of face to face meetings. Moreover, It focuses on human connection, requires all participants to be fully present, and is free from distractions. Adding more to this, school corridors only come to life when guffawing of students is heard all around. Overall, the day went well and students took bags full of happiness with a hope to start a new journey of making school memories.

Virtual Speaking Activity

Wed, July 28, 2021: As Cambridge Innovative School believes, ‘Being able to communicate effectively in any language is the most important of all life skills’, so a Virtual Speaking Activity- DEBATE in Punjabi was conducted for the students from Grade VIII-X on the topics such as Internet, OnlineEducation, Why do most of the youngsters are interested in settling abroad.The activity proved a boon as it sharpened the language skills and built conducive environment for the students in raising their confidence level to communicate effectively in Punjabi. Our young orators participated with full zeal and zest to put forth their opinion in favour or against the concerned topic. The girls made use of various props to make their argumentation more effective. It was a great learning experience for all the students.

‘Twist in a Tale’ Activity

Wed, July 28, 2021: Cambridge Innovative School conducted various activities in Hindi from Grades I- VIII to enhance their knowledge in subject and expand their horizons. With the spirit, the will to win and the will to excel, the students designed exquisite Magazines, Calendar which helped them to know about months and various occasions and PhotoAlbum in regard to ‘Bharat Ki Khoj’ to gain historical information. The young artists portrayed the role of their favourite character from ‘Ramayana’. In addition to this, Hindi speaking activity ‘Twist in a Tale’ and Riddles were undertaken.

Mon, July 5, 2021: To discover the undiscovered talents and innovative students, competitions are regularly organized. It is about encouraging, nurturing and showcasing every child's natural creative flair. Through these contests students learn to explore the extent of their imagination and express themselves without any fear in the month of May, Some of young artists🎨 of Grade III,IV and V, who are too young to even understand the meaning of life, have achieved the greater levels of creativity and refinement using their hands in Doodling. Students filled magic with their pencils and colors.

CPD Workshops

Wed, July 28, 2021: Cambridge Innovative School continued its annual CPD workshops online for the teachers of all LWES schools on 26th June & 28th June also, to keep them abreast with the fast changing world of education .Mr Syed F Sattar ,(Senior Maths Faculty at GEMS International School, Gurgaon; Ex-Manager Training & Curriculum, Bharti Foundation) gave online workshop on Art Integration, Experiential Learning & Multi Disciplinary Approach, in which the teachers learnt various activities and pedagogies to integrate Maths with Arts in a playful manner to impartnumeral literacy. In another online workhop on Emotional Well Being by Ms. Aarti Rajratnam , who has a Masters in Applied Psychology with specialization in Clinical Psychology Childhood and Adolescent Mental Health from the University of Delhi, South Campus. She completed a special 14-month internship at the prestigious Rajkumari Amrit Kaur Child Guidance Centre at New Delhi.
